A downloadable rupter for Windows

Emessive Back

Greetings, so you ended up here too.

Emessive Back is a project I’m working on that drops you straight into the deep end of the Backrooms. No fancy HUDs, no complicated tutorials—just you, miles of yellow wallpaper, and that annoying buzzing sound from the lights that never seems to stop.

I’m building this using the Rupter Engine, mostly because I wanted to see how far I could push the lighting and the atmosphere to make everything feel "off" and unsettling.

What’s the vibe?

  • Walking into a memory: It’s all about that weird, lonely feeling of being in a place that should be crowded but is totally empty.
  • Rupter Engine visuals: I’ve worked hard on the lighting to make the environments look as realistic (and creepy) as possible.
  • No hand-holding: You’re lost. It’s up to you to figure out how to navigate the corridors and stay sane.

⚠️ Heads up!

Just a reminder: This game is still in active development. Since I’m still working on it, you might run into some bugs or unfinished areas. I’m constantly tweaking things and adding new content, so keep an eye out for updates!

If you decide to jump in, let me know what you think. Your feedback really helps me figure out where to take the game next.
